INTRODUCTION

B<>rder/ess is the Tech Not-For-Profit arm of Crypto Smart, aimed at raising 100 web3 developers and web2 tech-skilled young people annually for free, to build Web2 and Web3 products.

We do this by establishing physical hubs, hosting events, providing training, offering mentorship, establishing Campus Tech Clubs and launching tech projects.

Physical hubs: B<>rder/ess will have physical hubs in several African countries that provide a space for developers to learn, collaborate, and network.

The first was opened in November 2022 in Port-Harcourt Nigeria and the next will be opened at the University Of Port-Harcourt Nigeria.

Events: B<>rder/ess hosts a variety of events, such as hackathons, meetups, campus tours and conferences.

Tech Clubs: We set up tech clubs in various universities to foster peer inspiration towards learning and practicing tech skills.

These events provide developers with opportunities to learn new skills, meet new people, and share their work, the last event was held in November 2022 in Port-Harcourt Nigeria.

Training: B<>rder/ess offers a variety of training programs called Cipher Sessions, both online and in person.

These programs cover a wide range of topics, including:

2. Blockchain development

3. Data science

4. Cyber Security

5. pYTEAL

6. UI/UX design

7. Product Management

8. 3d Animations, Unreal Engine

and a lot others.

Mentorship: B<>rder/ess pairs developers with experienced mentors. These mentors provide guidance and support to help developers reach their full potential.

B<>rder/ess web3/Tech Campus Clubs

The B<>rder/ess web3/Tech Campus Clubs is a strategy for growing Web3 Dev/Tech communities on Campuses.

The B<>rder/ess Tech Clubs are a decentralized community of University Student developers and web3-skilled or aspiring tech-skilled undergraduates and web3 enthusiasts pioneered by the B<>rder/ess Developers Programme and web3 Events.

We aim to raise Student Developers from the campuses who by the time they graduate from the university can build solutions and projects, especially because our schools aren't yet teaching Blockchain or anything related to web3.

The primary purpose of the partnership is to train any community member interested in becoming a developer or learning a tech skill physically or virtually.

We received applications from over 28 Universities in Nigeria

Over 108 Students applied

39 Females and 69 Males

Through these activities, we’re able to attract, educate, and inspire young people to pursue career paths in the tech space and in the web3 space.

Our last Campus tour was from October 3rd - October 17th in over 7 different campuses in the South-South.
