Crossover is an experimental web3 series aiming to revolutionise the creator economy by blending traditional content creation with innovative blockchain technology.
Set in a 2D animated universe where digital and real worlds intersect, the project experiments with storytelling approaches, ownership, and funding mechanisms.
By enabling community control and engagement, exploring new intellectual property models, and leveraging blockchain for sustainable financial solutions, Crossover aims to create a more rewarding and resilient ecosystem for creators and audiences alike. Utilising innovative storytelling techniques enabled by this technology, Crossover seeks to deliver a unique and groundbreaking experience.
Our vision extends beyond this series, culminating in a platform to help creators launch and succeed in the creator economy, bridging their existing audiences and content into this transformative technology.
The Crossover team and network of creatives span many industries, all ready to work and build this project. From #1 charting musicians to award-winning content creators, comedians, and filmmakers, our team is equipped with a diverse range of skills and experiences. Like any good creative team, it is scalable to suit production needs and abilities and flex to whatever is required to make it happen.

Building of SEI Characters & Lore: Crossover features beloved SEI characters and beyond, creating lore and stories that add depth to other projects. This enriches SEI with meaningful content, acting as a cultural bridge to onboard new members.
Onboarding Web2 Creatives and Audiences: By experimenting with Crossover content and processes, we aim to create a framework and platform that can onboard more creatives and audiences from traditional web environments into web3, expanding the SEI community through innovative practices.
Hyper-Relevant Comedy and Social Commentary: Crossover delivers entertaining and thought-provoking content that embraces meme culture and provides social commentary. This approach allows for mass reach and breakthrough into both the wider web3 ecosystem and traditional web2 platforms, making SEI a central hub for engaging and relevant discussions.
Community Collaboration: Crossover involves the SEI community in developing narratives and content, fostering ownership and engagement. By collaborating with the broader web3 ecosystem, it strengthens the community and brings in new members through joint projects.
Creative Tools and Learning Opportunities: Crossover produces assets, illustrations, and animation rigs, providing these resources to individuals and other projects, pushing them into new fields. It hosts live streams for collaborative learning, empowering members with the tools and knowledge to create their own content and enhancing skill development.
Aiming to Utilize and Disrupt the Creator Economy: Crossover plans to integrate traditional content creation with innovative blockchain technology, exploring new funding models and storytelling techniques. This aims to provide a comprehensive platform for creators, transforming content monetization and distribution, and attracting new talent to SEI.
Crossover aims to enhance the SEI community through engaging content, collaborative storytelling, and innovative models. By bridging web2 and web3, it seeks to attract new members, foster a vibrant community, and revolutionize the creator economy, positioning SEI as a leader in the evolving digital landscape.
Since our mint, Crossover has been making waves in the SEI ecosystem. Here’s a list of everything we've achieved so far:
Crossover has several exciting initiatives planned to drive user adoption and participation:
These initiatives are designed to push the boundaries of what's possible in the creator economy, driving both adoption and participation within the SEI community and beyond. Our overarching aim is to continually experiment with technology and creativity to innovate and elevate the creator economy, finding new ways to engage and grow our community.
Description: This phase focuses on continuously producing web3 content such as animations, stories, live streams, and exploring various media formats like spaces and podcasts. It involves providing tools and resources to the community and other SEI projects, fostering education and community building. The aim is to experiment with decentralized creativity, enabling community-driven content creation. Initial funding will support content production, subscriptions, licensing, AI tools for efficient production, and paying creators.
Key Milestones:
Grant Use: Funding for content production, animation resources, live streaming equipment, marketing and outreach, community event organization, equipment, software, production costs, and providing tools to the SEI community.
Description: This phase aims to collaborate with web2 and traditional media projects, featuring them in content to onboard their audiences. It focuses on building relationships and partnerships to bring SEI lore and characters to new places, expanding the community. Funding will be used for partnership development, collaborative content production, and outreach.
Key Milestones:
Grant Use: Funding for partnership development, content production costs, outreach and engagement, integration tools, marketing, and onboarding resources.
Description: The goal of this phase is to design and develop the Crossover platform to facilitate decentralized creativity and community engagement. It includes launching a beta version to gather user feedback and refine features, followed by the official launch with full functionality and robust community features. Funding will support the design, development, testing, and promotion of the platform.
Key Milestones:
Grant Use: Funding for hiring developers, UI/UX designers, and project managers, continued development, beta testing, user feedback collection, final development costs, marketing and promotion, and ongoing community support.
The timeline for these phases is highly dependent on potential funding offers either via community or other methods. No funding means slower and bootstrapped, with potential to reach no further than Phase 1 which is telling the crossover story until it is no longer financially viable (as any entertainment property exists). Funding support means speed and potential higher scalability. Each phase is designed to either progress simultaneously or seperately, with priority given to content creation and social growth, followed by collaborations and onboarding, and finally, platform development. This phased approach ensures that each area can be developed effectively, driving user adoption and participation within the SEI community and beyond.
Phase 2+3 are mostly stretch goals via funding: In the early stages of the project and without significant funding, the development of a comprehensive platform wouldn't be feasible. However, it is where we aim to get to. We believe we have the expertise and experience to create an innovative onboarding platform for the creator economy that isn't based on turbulent memecoins but instead on sustainable earning mechanisms for creators and audiences alike.
