GMetarave: Beats is a music rhythm game conceptualized and brought to life by true pop music fans - our team. We prioritize underrepresented KPOP acts, providing them with more ways to connect with their fans through GMetarave: Beats. The team is based in the Philippines.
Inspired by titles like Guitar Hero, Osu!, Dance Revolution, and many others, GMetarave: Beats offers engaging and dynamic music rhythm gameplay. With a touch of something new!
Our main in-game music is from KPOP groups and artists. Kpop popularity is continuously on the rise. Several groups are debuting each month. We are also going mobile-first because it's currently the most profitable sector of the gaming industry and also the fastest growing. This means our music rhythm game project will have more partner artists, more music to use in-game, and will have a synergistic growth with the KPOP industry itself.
This also means that players will always have new music to play with, new game items to purchase, and new artists and groups to look forward to in our game. This will lead to our profitability and longevity for the years to come.
We are also a service to KPOP groups and artists to help them reach more audiences. When we started speaking to KPOP folks, managers, and artists alike, we were surprised to learn that many want to be on a game and be on Web3 but don't know where to start. This is because they are in the entertainment industry and already very busy with their industry. So when we started having our discussions we made it easy for them, telling them we only need permission to use their songs and pictures for the game.
What makes us different is we will reward our players with artist-signed merchandise, and a very rare chance to have a 1 on 1 video call with our partner KPOP artists. All of our partner KPOP artists and groups agreed to this. This is a dream come true for most fans and we are confident that it will greatly drive our engagement. When we first started contacting KPOP groups, we thought it wasn't a possibility, we are seeing the reward from the fan's perspective but the KPOP groups we spoke with agreed to give these kinds of rewards to the players who will make it to the top of our leaderboards. This made us very excited!!
Our founder Paul started the project because he wanted to establish a web3 KPOP music rhythm game for underrated artists and groups. For some of the existing Web2 games, trading is not allowed, game items and the game accounts themselves can sometimes disappear with no chance of retrieval. We can change this by leveraging the powers of Web3 through the use of immutable on-chain data.
From its inception, GMetarave: Beats aims to help the environment and further educate its audience on environmental stewardship. We strive to do this by sharing a part of our game revenue with reforestation causes.
We will bring more users from the fans and players that will play the game, these will increase the wallets on the Arbitrum.
We will implement staking protocols to lock value in the ecosystem. We will implement a mechanism to let players upgrade their cards by staking them with some of our in-game ERC20 currency. This doesn't have an app fee or a game fee but will generate experience for their cards.
We will adopt the ARB native token itself as our in-game "premium currency." It will be used for community governance/voting on decisions that greatly concern our player community. For buying premium in-game items, and as a reward for winning the game
We are active in the Philippines Godot Game developer community and we proactively promote Arbitrum for teams who want to go Web3.
We are positive that most of our users will be first-time crypto/Web3 users and it would give them a good impression that Web3 is here to stay and improve many things. Giving Arbitrum a chance to become a household name, and increase its reputation.
Easy onboarding for first-time crypto users through account abstraction. There is no need to figure out their wallet approval/connections and keyphrases. They can sign up using a traditional username, and password method which will generate a smart wallet address for them.
