We are a student-led club based at UNITEC university in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Since July 2024, we have held consistent meetups with 30-50+ attendees per session. We work closely with the "Ethereum Tegucigalpa" community to bring in world-class mentors, including designers, Web3 developers, and community managers, who deliver high quality workshops that wouldn't otherwise be available to students.
To convert curious university students into active Ethereum builders and contributors, creating a sustainable talent pipeline that strengthens the local ecosystem in Honduras for years to come.
Universities here do not cover Web3 topics, so most students think "crypto" is only about trading tokens. This causes them to miss out on the vast professional opportunities in the ecosystem. Students simply don't know that Ethereum infrastructure can be used to solve real-world problems. Additionally, it is often hard for student clubs to maintain themselves long-term, so consistent spaces for learning are rare.
We are a university-backed club that provides a new field of study for students. We use free campus spaces to host regular events that explore the real possibilities of blockchain, from coding smart contracts to creative design. By establishing a dedicated leadership board and partnering with local experts, we are building a sustainable structure that keeps the club running and growing, even as members graduate.
